I was Born 1939 in London. Studied violin at school and won the music prize within the first year.
Joined the British army band of The Corps of Royal Engineers Band on violin and served 22 years, learning clarinet and music theory.
Whilst there, discovered arranging as a hobby and provided the band with arrangements, many of which were broadcast on BBC radio and TV and placed onto records, CD and tapes. My arrangements were also used as center pieces for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo.I was one time copyist for a great British composer, Ronald Binge, sadly no longer with us having died in 1979 - famous for ELIZABETHAN SERENADE and the invention of "the Mantovani sound" - (cascading strings).
Now, I'm in semi-retirement, making arrangements for concert orchestras.
My computer is 300mhz Pentium II - 64 meg ram - AWE 64 Gold sound card and high quality Yamaha speakers.
I use CREATIVE MIDI INSTRUMENT MAPPER as the midi port output playback.
