Ignacio Calvo was born on February 23, 1977 in Madrid, Spain. He didnīt notice his musical inclination until he was 14; he started to listen music, Mozart and Beethoven; after them, all the classical musicians from Vivaldi to early Stravinsky. When he was 15, he got a little composing program, "Visual Composer", and started to compose.Just before starting an course of Computer Engineering, at 18, he got a brand-new MIDI equipment, a synthesizer and a keyboard, with which he could at last start to compose with the orchestra. He has started a course of harmony at the same time as the course of Engineering.
Calvoīs musical idols are Piotr Ilich Tchaikovsky and the modern soundtrack composer John Towner Williams, but his styleis very very eclectical. Only two things are constant in his works: a clear and defined "theme" or set of themes, and the search of the perfect orchestration.
